Create and Setup a Mega Menu

A Mega Menu is an advanced navigation menu that allows you to showcase multiple columns, widgets, images, and content within a dropdown. However, instead of a traditional dropdown, this Mega Menu will open on hover, providing a seamless navigation experience. Follow these steps to create and configure a Mega Menu in the Crafto theme.

1. Create a New Menu

Navigate to Appearance > Menus.

Click Create a New Menu, enter a name (e.g. “Main Menu”), and click Create Menu.

Select pages, categories, or custom links as menu items, then click Save Menu to apply changes.

2. Enable Mega Menu

In the Menus section, hover over a menu item (e.g. “Services”) and click the Settings button (blue button next to the item).

3. Configure Mega Menu Options

Once the Mega Menu is enabled, customize it using the following options:

Item Content

  • Enable Mega Menu – Check to activate the Mega Menu feature.
  • Disable Link (Toggle Only) – Enable this option to stop the menu item from acting like a link. Instead of going to a new page when clicked, it will only open or close the mega menu dropdown. This is useful if you just want the menu item to act as a toggle — not a clickable link.
  • Choose Mega Menu Style:
    • – Fixed width: Limited to the width of the specific menu container within your website.
    • – Full width: Covers the entire width of the screen.
  • Mega Menu Item Content:
    • – Click Edit with Elementor to customize your Mega Menu layout.
    • – A popup will open where you can add and design menu items using Elementor.
    • – Insert widgets, images, and content blocks to enhance the Mega Menu.

Item Icon

  • Select Menu Icon – Choose an icon for the menu item from the dropdown list.
  • Upload Image – Add an image for the menu item.
  • Icon Position – Adjust the icon position within the menu.

Item Label

  • Label – Add a label name for the Mega Menu item.
  • Label Color – Choose the text color for the label.
  • Label Background Color – Select a background color for the label.

4. Save and Apply Changes

Select Fixed Width as the Mega Menu style and click Save Menu Settings to apply the changes.

Preview the changes on your website.

Select Full Width as the Mega Menu style, enable Header Background Color on Menu Hover, and click Save Menu Settings.
